Marie-Claude de Grandpré works in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in construction and insurance law, namely in civil and professional liability. Her practice regularly leads her to plead before the courts, which she particularly enjoys. However, in the right circumstances she does not hesitate to advise her clients to consider alternative dispute resolution methods.
In insurance matters, she defends insurers and their insureds with respect to civil claims and also takes action for the insurers in subrogation recourses, while in construction, law she represents the interests of general contractors and building owners in disputes that may arise during the execution of a construction project.
She holds a Juris Doctor in North American Common Law from the University of Montréal and a degree in civil law from the University of Ottawa. She also completed a semester at the Faculty of Law, University of Montpellier I, in France.
